Promoting Corporate Accountability

We work with partners from around the world to hold mining corporations accountable to local communities. Some examples of our work:

  • Monitoring the mining operations of Denver-based Newmont Corporation, the world's largest gold mining company. Newmont has come under increasing scrutiny due to its checkered track record at operations in Indonesia, Peru, the United States,Uzbekistan, Ghana, and Romania.  Hear from communities affected by Newmont

  • We support the work of partners who are dealing with U.S. and Canadian mining firms such as Meridian Gold (Argentina), Gabriel Resources (Romania), Glamis Gold (Guatemala and California), Barrick (Chile), Anglo Gold Ashanti (Ghana) and others.
